Another day at the beach for Bailey

Bailey had such a good time on Lamma Island last weekend, I took her on some more trips this weekend. On Saturday, I took her to Shek O beach and again, she thoroughly enjoyed her afternoon sniffing and scrounging for garbage in the sand.

Bailey was quite popular with other dogs on the beach and this little white poodle mix spent the entire time with his nose firmly attached to her behind.

Bailey never once turned around to say hello but kept her nose to the sand in search of goodies. Didn't even bother to look when a 2nd boyfriend joined the parade.

At Shek O "back beach" where we were, dogs are allowed on the beach and there's a restaurant bar overlooking the water where we could hang out with a cool drink and relax with other dog owning and/or dog loving people.

Amazing Smudge - the 19 year old dog!
One other dog we met was Smudge who turns 19 in November!!!! I told Bailey this was her new role model. Smudge is an amazing girl who the owner said she got as a stray puppy on Hong Kong and who has miraculously lived a healthy life so far.

Bailey's health update
Good news on Bailey's health is her medication and special kidney disease diet is working and her blood tests are looking good so I may get to have her by my side for MANY days to come.

Sunday dog walks
Sunday was another dog walk down the Peak and this time we had 11 dogs and our large herd was so comical looking I had to take another picture.

Bailey didn't get to do the walk because of her weak legs, but I did bring her out for the 2nd half of the day so she could enjoy some peaceful sitting around with other doggy friends and people. (This is Padstow desperately eying Brooke's food)

Mid-Autumn Festival
On a non-dog related topic, we're about to have a holiday in Hong Kong. It's mid-Autumn festival which means lots of fruit baskets and moon cakes being delivered to the office. It's also China National Day on October 1st which means no work day! My office is also closed Oct 2nd so I get a 4 day weekend. Our China office is closed Oct 1-7 so they get a whole week of holiday.
