Pet update

The kittens are now 1 week old and just tonight, 1 baby opened 1 eye. Ahh, they grow up so quickly. The 3 kittens and momma are all doing well.

Dandy and Bailey vet visit
Dandy and Bailey visited the vet Saturday. The doc says Dandy's nightly subcutaneous fluids are the reason he is acting so perky since it's clearing out all the toxins. He's doing very well.

Dandy's bath time
Dandy requires weekly baths since he also has a skin allergy which makes him chew his rear and his breath is soooooo revolting it makes his fur stink as a result. Pics pre and post bath.

(Vet also said he'd pull all Dandy's teeth if he thought Dandy could survive the dental. Dandy's rotten teeth could have contributed to the kidney problems in the 1st place)

Luckily, Dandy likes his baths and loves to get the hair dryer and roll into me and paw at the air in joy.

Obsessive Bailey
Bailey is on antidepressants. She's had a disgusting lick granuloma on her foot since her back surgery almost 2 years ago. She obsessively compulsively licks her foot, and the wound is horrible.

We've tried everything and seen many vets but nothing will stop her (not a giant e-collar, foot wraps, corisone injections.....)

This vet suggested anti depressants to control her obsessive compulsive behavior. Plus antibiotics since the wound seems infected AND we have to wrap her foot to try and stop the licking which explains her cranky face in the pic.

Swine Flu
Swine Flu touched Hong Kong this past week and dropped onto our doorstep. A hotel in Wanchai quarantined about 200 people for a week because of a suspected case and on Friday night we found all this paparazzi and news lined up in front of the hotel by our apartment. We thought a famous person was there, but no, the tourists were released from the Wanchai hotel and given some free nights stay at the hotel next door to us.
