Subway, Presidents and Kittens

My new best friend is the owner of this Subway restaurant that just opened up in our neighborhood last weekend. I went in on opening day I was so happy. I met the owner and let him know I'd be the source of much money for him since I lived 1.5 blocks to the left and worked 1.5 blocks to the right. I've lived up to that promise this past week and he's always there to wave and give me complimentary cookies. Ahh, that possibly was the best birthday present ever.

Kitties no more
Today, both Bella and Philvia went to their new homes so now it's back to just me, Mark and Bailey. Philvia went back to SPCA to be adopted and I found a family to adopt Bella. I brought her to their home to meet their dog Toby to make sure they could get along before I left her and they seem like their going to be great friends.

The family also has twin 7 year old girls and a 3 year girl that I'm more worried about than the dog. They can't stop picking her up and hugging her. But Bella is such a social cat she didn't seem to mind one bit and she'll probably have a life of cuddles and being dressed up by those girls.

Presidential Election
The news outside of my own little world of Subway openings and kittens is of course the US Presidential election. It's big news all over the world and all eyes are on the U.S. Most everyone from other countries are positive Obama will win and when I suggest that I fear it will be McCain, they think I'm insane and tell me that in so many words. But, I know my family and I know there are millions of others in the U.S voting McCain so the rest of the world may just end up shocked once more. We shall see in just a few short days. (Was my opinion obvious there or was I neutral enough not to disturb the folks back home? hee hee)
