Introducing Bella

It's been a sleepless 2 weeks for me and that's because we've added itty bitty Bella to our pack and I'm up every 2 hours feeding her. My friend found Bella on her patio stuffed between some cushions and momma cat was nowhere to be found.

I brought her home (after a visit to the vet) to see if I could get her into foster care since I already had Philvia. Bella was probably only 2 weeks old and oh so tiny.

Long story short, we're fostering both Bella and Philvia. It's been good for both of them. After the initial quarantine of keeping them apart, they are now buddies and Philvia is trying to teach Bella how to be a cat. Bella teaches Philvia how to be nice. Before Bella, Philvia spent most of her time hiding behind the curtains on the window and may have been one of the most unsocial cats we've fostered, now she plays with Bella and even jumped into Mark's lap voluntarily yesterday.

Philvia goes back to SPCA next week to be adopted as she's starting to get big and Bella has several more weeks with us as we try to get her to put on some weight. She's a great kitten. Fearless, loves Bailey and couldn't be happier.

HKDR Tribute Book Launch Party
The other thing taking up time this past week was another fundraising event I helped coordinate for Hong Kong Dog Rescue. They do a really classy Tribute Book for a bunch of dogs adopted from the shelter and we did the launch party last week. Party on Friday for all the owners of the featured dogs and public launch on Saturday. A local celebrity supermodel, Rosemary Vandenbroucke, was there for a book signing (she's featured in the book as is Jackie Chan and his dogs).

There's a video on YouTube of the event and you can see me and Mark throughout the video tipping back some beers and me spending an unnatural amount of time flipping through the book. I couldn't stop reading the stories about the dogs!
