Railay Bay, Thailand 4 day weekend

Mark and I escaped to Railay Bay, Thailand last weekend for a 4-day relaxing vacation. Railay Bay is a secluded area near Krabi and Phuket that is only accessable by long tail boat and no cars found anywhere. Very peaceful.

Because its low season, we were able to splurge on our own privacy cottage at the Railay Bay Spa and Resort. We spent some time kayaking and although we were broadsided by some waves and I freaked a little and annoyed Mark to no end, we managed to stay upright the whole time and visited some cute little private beaches.

Of course, it was football weekend so Mark managed to get some wi-fi streaming in the games live and he sweated it out on the patio of our cottage watching the Huskies get punished.

We had some cute salamanders, frogs and geckos in the garden of our cottage that kept our attention each morning over coffee.

The pic of Mark carrying luggage in the water is not our luggage. We travel light with backpacks but we met some poor Canadians that brought in some heavy luggage and then had to transport it off the long tailed boat in the waves so we pitched in and helped. Notice Mark's Blackberry safely held between his teeth so a wave doesn't get it wet in his pocket. If only he hadn't accidentally spit it out on sand when we got to shore....
