Good NewsWe have a couple of doggy updates this week. Some good news and some bad news. Good news is we have officially adopted Sasha, our little funny face 8 pound mixed breed. We've been fostering Sasha since July and have fallen in love with her and know at her age with all her funny quirks, chances of finding another home are slim and now I can't imagine a life without her.
She's a goofy little dog. My nickname for her is goofy lulu, Mark calls her dum dum and numb nuts, Bailey calls her "arroooof, stop stepping on me you blind little ball of fur".
Bad NewsThat's the good news, the bad news is Bailey has been feeling poorly. Ever since we returned from our Thailand vacation 2 weeks ago she's been acting sick, not really excited to eat or walk. I took her into the vet and her blood tests showed really bad levels for her kidneys. After 1.5 days in the vet hospital on fluids, we brought her home and she seems to be doing okay although I don't kid myself that these are the next stages of kidney disease.
Woofstock
Sunday Nov 7th was a dog event that I helped with called Woofstock. It was at the country park and it was a giant dog and family free-for-all with activities and general nice day out.

I brought Sasha and honestly it was too much excitement for her. She found a nice spot on the grass and just plopped down and slept. I had to move her to a friendly lap (Gloria's) so she didn't get trampled while I organized the contests.

Again we had costume contests and a fastest eater contest. No surprise, a beagle won the fastest eater. Lemondrop, an adorable boy adopted from Hong Kong dog rescue almost 2 years ago. A fun day out that Mark missed while he slept and watched football.

The day before Woofstock was a miserably rainy day and we had to load all the stuff down a windy trail for the event. Not fun. And not surprising, I caught a HORRIBLE cold/flu that unfortunately knocked me out cold all day Monday and Tuesday. Very bad since it's a busy week of work for me with clients in town from all over for a trade show that I can't miss. Pumping myself full of cold meds and lots of sleep so I can get through the week!
