It was yet another week of goodbye's since this was Alexis and Rob's last week in Hong Kong before they move to Switzerland. Alexis works for Mars and got a new job outside of Zurich much to my dismay. Rob works for Adidas and got transferred to the German office so will commute home to Zurich on weekends. Alexis leaves tomorrow, but Rob doesn't leave for another week so we've got him for a bit longer.
Rob and Alexis moved to Hong Kong just 1 year ago (last July). I'm hoping they find their way back to Hong Kong after enjoying Switzerland for a year or so.
Since Mark and I have had so much fun with these two over the past year, I'm doing a little photo tribute. We've done some hikes, day trips, concerts and dinners. Oh, and of course there were some nights with beers and jello shots at bars, but somehow I never managed to get any pictures of those outings.
Here's the going away dinner we had Saturday night. Mark was in Singapore for work so missed it. Our friend Claudia joined the goodbye's though.
Coincidentally, Claudia is Swiss and her family lives nearby where Rob and Alexis are moving so she's giving them lots of how to live in Switzerland tips, and will probably be able to visit them often.
Alexis desperately wants a puppy, but Rob's not ready yet. This is a friend's little foster puppy from Hong Kong Dog Rescue. We made Rob hold the dog too, but he still stood firm on his "no dog yet" policy.

Visiting the Banyan Wishing Tree. People used to throw their wishes into the tree, but that's not allowed anymore, so Rob improvised.
Maybe Alexis is wishing she can live in Hong Kong forever?
