The Hong Kong Observatory said more than 200 millimetres of rain was dumped in the city overnight. Crazy. This weekend the rain finally went away and the blazing heat of summer is here. I think I prefer the rain, but then, I grew up a Seattle girl.Lulu Kitty and Bailey

We have Lulu kitty for another 3 weeks and she's becoming a part of the family. We'll see if we'll be able to give her back when she's finally well enough to be adopted.
We've had her since May 8th (with her 2 sisters). Then Lulu got ringworm and we got to keep her for another 3 weeks. Those 3 weeks are turning into 6 weeks. Lulu and Bailey are buddies now and live in harmony. Well, kind of. Lulu is fascinated by Bailey and Bailey seems to ignore her existence even when Lulu is walking directly on top of her to cross Bailey's sleeping body on the couch. I wonder if Bailey's more tolerant or is it old age and she really doesn't notice? Our North Point Neighborhood
I've got nothing else to report, so I've taken some pictures of our neighborhood in North Point since none of our travel weary relatives are likely to visit and see it in person (subtle enough of a hint family?)
Here is the view of the front of our building. As you can see, we live the life of convenience with a Circle K and a 711 on either side of our building entrance and taxi's waiting outside.
We are block 3 of a complex which has 13 buildings. Here are the other 13. We are on the top floor. Behind the buildings is Victoria harbor and here's the view. It's a nice view if you can ignore the highway.
The weather has gotten steamy hot and people are doing whatever they can to keep cool. This includes shaving your long haired dog so they don't get heatstroke. Here's one of the most ridiculous looking ones in our complex. Is it a mini-lion or a Chow Chow?
