Julian's Going Away Party and Lamma Beach Day

Mark's boss Julian is being transferred to the New York office in July and he had a going away party this past Friday at the Stanley Beach Club. It was a "Fancy Dress" party as the British say, which as American's would say was a costume party.

Mark was Obie Wan Kanobe and I was Princess Leia. Funny as soon as we walked into the party, we came across Darth Vader and Obie and Vader had a light saber battle after posing for this friendly picture.

On the beach some locals asked Mark if he was Jesus and got their picture taken with him. They also wanted pics with Spider Man and Captain Jack Sparrow. Princess Leia wasn't of interest.

On Saturday, I took Bailey and Obie (our newest foster dog) to Lamma Island for a day on the beach with friends and their dogs. Obie was surprisingly perfect. He was great off leash, got along with other dogs and friendly with the humans too.

If only he hadn't vomited in the taxi on the way to the ferry, again on the ferry, back on the ferry going home and then peed in the taxi on the way home. He doesn't travel well apparently.

Bailey was perfect as usual. But I'm biased since she can do no wrong in my eyes.
