Singapore instead of Krabi

We didn't go to Krabi, Thailand last weekend and instead went to Singapore. One of our flights was cancelled and there was no acceptable alternative so I cancelled the whole trip. Since we already had the dog/cat sitter booked and days off work scheduled, we hastily booked a 3 day trip to Singapore which always has cheap air deals.

Singapore is very much like Hong Kong, but a Disneyland version of Hong Kong. Very friendly, tightly regulated (chewing gum among other things is illegal), and everything looks colorful and new. There's a very authentic Chinatown and authentic Little India.

We went to Little India on Sunday night since we heard it was a happening time. It was.

The streets were crowded with people and it was shocking the man to woman ratio. Sooo many Indian men and almost no woman at all. The men come to Singapore to work. Can you spot Mark in this picture?

This may look like a picture of Dana, but really the target is Mo who is sitting behind me.

We loved the mix of Malay and Indian foods.

The best meals were at outdoor markets and food courts in the mall.

I think in this picture I was saying, let me know before you take the picture.

The Singapore Zoo is also well known and so is the Night Safari at the zoo which we did. These are some tribal dancers in the show at the night safari.

Kittens
The kittens are now 5.5 weeks old and at one of the cutest stages. Playful, won't sit still and irresistible.
