Since we've moved to Hong Kong, we have 5 friends back home who have had babies. I have to admit, this made my maternal instincts kick in and I realized it was time to add more babies to our little family...as usual, our babies are of the four legged, furry variety.
Last week, we became the foster parents of 3 adorable kittens from the Hong Kong SPCA. They are only 4 weeks old, all boys and we'll take care of them until July 15th and then they go back to the shelter to be neutered and adopted out into new families. As most of our friends know, Mark and I fostered many kittens from the Multnomah County Animal Services back in the USA over the past few years so this is not new news in our life. Just new in Hong Kong.

Bailey meets the cats
Being the perfect dog that Bailey is, she doesn't seem to mind the kittens one bit. Here are some pictures of their 1st meeting. Bailey is more interested in finding the kitten's food than finding the kittens.
The kittens weren't so sure about Bailey at first (notice the arched backs and raised fur) but after awhile, they just followed her around and watched her as she sniffed every inch of the floor.
Being in a 700 sq foot apartment and having cat allergies is the only problem with fostering. My allergies started going crazy after day 3 so I bought a fancy air purifier (you can even see the box in the picture which has now become a kitten climbing toy.)
Now our air is pure, our house is full and I am very happy to have kittens once again.
